Out of those 19 seasons they have made finals appearances 16 times, only missing the finals in 2001, 2002, 2010. The Storm have won four of their last five games. The loss was the Round 25 match against the Broncos.

Sharks History
This will be the Sharks 1320th game since their conception into the NSWRL in 1967. Over those 50 seasons they have a win ratio of roughly 48%. The Sharks have played in 42 finals in the 50 seasons. The sharks had their longest winning streak this season winning 15 in a row from the 28th March 2016 – 24th July 2016. The Sharks have won three from the last five games. However, that run includes their 26-6 Round 26 loss to the Storm.

Matchup History
This is the 27th game between the two sides and as it stands Storm has won 18 of those to the Sharks 9. Storm have beaten the sharks every time they have met away from Shark Park since 2008.

Key Matchups

Sharks as a whole gift their opponents alot of penalties. There is no side in the league that capatalise greater on a penalty then Storm. Below are stats from the 2016 season.

As you can see the Sharks don’t do themselves any faviours at all, with key players like James Maloney being crutial to the Sharks attack but really letting them down in defense.

Valentine Holmes (Sharks) v Sulasi Vunivallu (Storm)

They were the perfect match up last season with their stats almost being a mirror image of the other. Holmes holds the record this season scoring 19 down the right side, while Vunivalu gets well over that with 23 on the left. Vunivalu beats the former record for most tries in a NRL season by a rookie, previously held by Israel Folau.

James Maloney (Sharks) v Cooper Cronk (Storm)

Cronk and Maloney are both teams key players setting up a lot of their try scoring runs each game. As much as we want this to be a match up its more of a white wash with Cronk decimating Maloney’s numbers in all aspects. Try assists (29 to 10), line break assists (22 to 10), tries (12 to seven) and tackle breaks (30 to 24)….as we said, Cronk has the stats.

Andrew Fifita (Sharks) v Jesse Bromwich (Storm)

This is another variable match up, with Bromwich displaying impressive footwork close to the line all season as oppose to Fifita’s unorthodox front-row play. Fifita takes the medal here though highlighted by his superior tackle breaks (90 to 42) and offloads (66 to 43).

Ben Barba (Sharks) v Cameron Munster (Storm)

This is the match up that will make or break either team. Barba edges Munster in tries (15 to 4) and try assists (21 to 12), but trails in line break assists (19 to 23) and tackle busts (97 to 114). Barber was once considered Queenslands replacement for Billy Slater, while Munster has don’t an excellent job for Storm since Slaters injury.

Finals

This will be only the second time that these teams have met in the finals. The first time was the 2008 preliminary final at the Sydney Football Stadium. The Storm ran out 28-0 winners, in spite of having Cam Smith out due to suspension for his head grapple on Sam Thaiday. Of course, the next week they suffered their fourth biggest loss ever – and their second biggest loss of the Bellamy era – when they lost the grand final 40-0 to the Sea Eagles.

Only two players from the Sharks side from the 2008 prelim take the field for this match: Captain Paul Gallen and Blake Green, now the Storm five-eighth. Cooper Cronk is the only Storm player backing up from that game.

Game Prediction

Lets get a little more technical now, from the tables below we can get a good idea on how the game may play out.

These two tables show us that the Sharks really need to lead at half time if they have any real chance of winning. On that same note Storm have won every m|atch this season when they had the lead at half time, except for a loss in round 4, to the Sharks.

The Sharks look like they are at their most dangerous 20 minutes before half time, which should help them slightly towards their goal to lead at half time.

Its nothing new to anyone when we say that Melbourne Storm have the best defense in the league but along with their solid wall defense they also have ball control that is second to none. The sharks on the other hand are going to have to rely on their attack to get the job done. However, looking at these stats there isn’t really a struck match between them. In fact the Storm are second only to the Raiders in line breaks. Further, the Storm are the second best metre gaining side in the competition. The Sharks can certainly go with them but it is very evenly matched.

Prediction

Ok, now the bit that you all came here for. If youve read over everything above you would of realised by now that this is Storms game. The Sharks do have some stats in their faviour and they could win this game, but 9 our of every 10 times strom take this away and win the season.

50K CHALLENGE INVESTIGATED OVER FACEBOOK FRAUD ALLEGATIONS

POLICE are investigating the Gold Coast Bodybuilder at the center of an online betting scheme that is sending the everyday punters broke.

Various online media sources have obtained messages in which the owner of the 50k challenge details how he draws in the average punter looking to make a quick fortune by posting fake bet slips, altering reviews and also removing any loosing tips to make his service look fool proof.

In the messages, the former University student tells a business partner how he entices punters by appearing to turn a single $50 note into $50,000 in just one month.

Once punters have paid the $100 sign up fee the 50k challenge owner invites them to his private facebook group where they are provided with a series of bets at short odds which all the members we talked to say failed to reach the return rate that is advertised and instead lost them money.

When members speak up they are banned from the group.

We have talked with over 10 members already who have all been apart of the 50k challenge private page and they have all confirmed that the tips were not as advertised, 50k has not been achieved since they been signed up, tips that fail were deleted from the group and that they all actually lost a lot of money on top of the $100 sign up fee which the 50k challenge charge to join the private group. They also confirmed that when the 50k challenge manages to string a few wins together a message is sent out to all members advising them to post positive feedback on the facebook page giving the illusion that everyone is happy and winning when that’s far from the truth.

“Every day we post up separate posts on the page but hide them from anyone to see them so there (sic) hidden from the wall,” the 50k challenge owner wrote.

“At the end of the day we see which ones won and we can claim as the challenge day 1, 2, 3, 4 winning tip.

“We do this 1-2 times per day until we fake hitting the 60k 12-win streak bet run.

“Then me and you get a group of friend (sic) like and comment on all the posts day by day to make it look real and advertise the winning 50k run. I’m a F—ING genius bro.”

Queensland police confirmed officers in a media statement that they were “currently conducting investigations” as to whether a company fraudulently obtained funds.

After further investigations we have been informed that the company also ran a previous scheme called “High Roller Sports Tips” in November 2014.

We have also been in contact with another tipping service who trialed the 50k challenge tips who advised us that since they were reviewing the tips (approx 3 months) they never even came close to reaching $1000 let alone $50,0000. His web host, Liamigo, also advised us that he breached their terms and conditions and had his website shut down.

Another independent reviewer had this to say.

“The first six tips sent to me when I inquired all lost at really short odds – he’d give tips around $1.20-$1.40 on any sport under the sun – that was the first sign to me that something wasn’t right, nobody is an expert on half a dozen sports,” he said.

We here at Multisports have seen a lot of services come and go over the years but nothing like this. It has been tainting our industry for almost 2 years now and destroying any integrity that people have for reputable services like ourselves. We really turned things around after having our worst month to date in July making a total of $6,183 for the month of August. Our NRL tips were again on point all month and made us some hefty profits, with soccer season starting back and being one of our most profitable sports in previous years we started off very strong with a lot of wins, AFL is still sitting steady and making us money and also this month we have the bonus of the Olympics which we really nailed. As well as all of these we also completed a small side challenge increasing our bankroll even more. This was the first month we released our UK Greyhound Lay tips which also turned a nice profit, Greyhound lay’s are provided to us from one of the UK’s BEST greyhound tippers and is a completely new way of wagering exclusive to MultiSports. With the AFL and NRL wrapping up in the next few weeks we move onto our other big money makers with NFL and SOCCER. Last year NFL was our 2nd most profitable sport just behind NRL and just in front of SOCCER, so you can say we are very confident that we will be hitting the $6k mark again in the next few months.

NRL ROUND 21 – REVIEW

Coming off our worst weekend of NRL since we started tipping we really looked to turn things around this weekend and surely we did. We ended up making a solid profit for the weekend. Roosters v Broncos – This week started out in what we thought would turn out to be another bad run. Roosters played with the intensity that we expected from them and Broncos left it a little too late to put up a fight. The bunker has been criticized for their inability to make correct calls and for all good reason. A disallowed try late in the game from the Broncos was questioned by the players, the commentators, the opposition, the punters and many disappointed viewers. This week instead of including the Safe Bets, we decided to place 4 safe legs in a multi in which we fell short on the first leg due to that controversial disallowed try. Roosters have been looking like a dangerous side with Mitchell Pearce leading them though they had been dealt a bad hand with their run off losses over the last 6 weeks, which they overcame in this weeks victory. Lachlan Maranta left the field for a concussion test early on the match, which had taken away from the attack of the already struggling Broncos. Brisbane had failed once again to capitalise on many opportunities and made multiple errors. Ex Bronco, Dale Copley, scored 2 tries against his former club including the opening try and the last try was scored by the Broncos gun fullback Darius Boyd, which puts our exotic bet as a win. As Roosters walked away victorious, so did we in our Conclusion bet. 2/3

Bulldogs v Dragons – Bulldogs took home a win in front of their home crowd on the weekend although I am far from convinced they are worthy of a top 4 spot. With 2 tries in the first half and a drop goal at the siren to scoring nothing in the second half and making costly mistakes that had nearly lost them the game. Considering Bulldogs were fighting for a top 4 spot and Dragons finals hopes have been crushed already, Dragons shouldn’t have had any business being that close on game day. The officials failed to witness Josh Reynolds tripping over Joel Thompson as he was heading for the try line, which more than likely would have resulted in a penalty try and could have possibly been the difference in Bulldogs winning and losing this match. As Curtis Rona barely got a touch of the football and Brett Morris was far from his best form, this game resulted in a loss.

Cowboys vs Storm, was everything we could have hoped for and more. Thurstons absence definitely gave Storm the edge as we predicted, although the defence still managed to play their roles very well. Some errors from both sides near the try line had worked in our favour on a few occasions as we were hoping for a low score, though the scoreboard read 16-8 at half time. With the amount of pressure, errors in the midfield and top defence, the second half consisted of no points whatsoever which put us in a great position. Cowboys started off the second half hungry as they kept Storm in their half for numerous sets though an error from Winterstein finally gave Storm room to breathe. Tim Glasby, Marika Koroibete and Kevin Proctor make up the 3 tryscorers for Melbourne which sees our roughie as a win. As there were no scores in the second half our Conclusion bet salutes, as does our exotic.

Raiders v Rabbithos – Raiders were in top form as expected wreaking havoc on the struggling bunnies who have moved into 13th position on the ladder. Canberra have moved into 3rd position on the ladder after a 50 point victory over South Sydney at ANZ Stadium which is beneficial for them in their run home to the finals. Luke Keary was sent off with a hamstring injury in the first half which gave an already advantaged Raiders side an even bigger advantage to solidify their spot as finals contenders. Edrick Lee managed to score a try before having to leave the field with a calf injury though the Raiders had a substantial lead and enough support to cover the loss. Elliott Whitehead and Jordan Rapana were among the players that had multiple tries for the game but unfortunately Jarrod Croker had only one to his name though coming close on several occasions which leaves our roughie as a loss. However, due to Raiders being dominant throughout the whole match sees both our Conclusion and our exotic bets get up which should more than compensate for our losses on Bulldogs mediocrity on Friday night. A profitable weekend overall which puts us in a great position for round 22.
